About Us
In the year 1930, a few importers & Traders of Bombay, importing & trading Dry & Wet Dates & Dry Fruits, from Muscat(oman)/Basra(Iraq)/Iran & Afghanistan, gathered & founded the Association to protect the interest of the Trade &to advise the members about the various Rules, Regulations & Lows of the them Government of india &offer solutions.
RE-CONSTRUCTION OF ASSOCIATION:-
In the year 1975,the Association was reconstructed & named “THE BOMBAY KHAREK BAZAR & MEWA MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION”

SHIFTING OF AGRI-MARKET:-
The Government of Maharashtra developed a TWIN CITY named “NAVI MUMBAI” with all necessary infrastructures. Subsequently, as per the State Government’s notification, al Agri Markets were shifted from Masjid Bunder, Mumbai to A.P.M.C Market, Navi Mumbai , in order to reduce congestion & pollution in and around Masjid Bander & South Mumbai.
RENAMING OF ASSOCIATION:-
In the year 1998, the previous name of the Association was changed and renamed to “THE BOMBAY DRY FRUITS & DATES ASSOCIATION” as per the State Government’s Order No.NTC 1596/463(92)/Dt. 4th may 1998.
